Price Difference

Why there is such a big different in the price between the companies?

When you ask to move coast to coast for example, moving companies built you price quote by considering their expenses:

  • Distance
  • Gas expenses
  • Drivers salary
  • Worker salary
  • Taxes
  • Tolls

And more, shipping just a 1000 Lb or 200 Cubic feet of goods from one state to another is expensive.

If you goods will be the only shipment on the truck the price to move them will be extremely expensive.

And it will be actually cheaper to buy new furniture.

In order to be more affordable, moving companies came up with the consolidate method:

Instead of sending a moving van across the country with only your shipment on board, companies can consolidate your shipment with other customers' shipments.

This method of shipping allows you to receive a greatly reduced rate. However, your shipment must stop along the way while other shipments are unloaded. This means that moving companies cannot guarantee an exact delivery date and must give you a delivery window.

Will my goods get lost or confused with other?

No, 97% of Consolidate move go without any difficulties regarding goods lost.

Moving companies have a great system of making sure everything is on the recorded.

All of your item will be tag with a special sticker that has a lot number, tag number, and color.

These stickers are part of the contract and will be unique to your goods only.

Also every item that the movers load into the truck will be mark in a special inventory list that have the

lot number tag number and sticker color printed on it.

The inventory list is an important part of the moving process and you have to make sure you get a copy of that list on pick up date, so once your shipment have arrived you can check that all item were unloaded from the truck.
